Issues of the Day

Social action and community involvement support the Unitarian Universalist Association principles. The Unitarian Universalist Council of Greater Cincinnati encourages the community to learn more about the UUA study of issues of global significance, and to learn more about the Council's support and advocacy of issues effecting the local community.

Unitarian Universalist Association Social Justice Focus:
2006 – 2010 Congregational Study/Action Issue (CSAI) is Peacemaking

Actions of Immediate Witness Adopted at the 2008 General Assembly are issues that are timely, narrow in focus, and require specific action.

• Raise the minimum wage to $10 in 2010
• Youth and Young Adult Empowerment
• Extend The Tax Credit for Wind and Solar Power
• End Present Day Slavery in the Fields
• Oppose a U.S. Attack in Iran
• Single Payor Healthcare
